Addicted to Intercourse: Some Important Information
When we say addiction to intercourse, we mean the behavior of craving intercourse. Not all people who have a high level of sensual intensity are addicts, but in some cases, prolonged exposure to a sensual lifestyle can lead to addiction. Besides the unusual intensity of cravings, the person often disregards proper behavior to obtain release. Pleasure and release may be factors that contribute to addiction.
Addiction Origin
Conditioning is a big part of sensual addiction. Early exposure to sensual activity leads to a higher level of cravings later on. Victims of sensual molestations have a tendency to crave intercourse. For these victims, however, the extreme opposite could also happen. Some victims are likely to abhor any type of sensual activity. Early promiscuity is said to be the most common cause of intercourse addiction. Sensual desires build to a feverish pitch before the person becomes totally consumed by it. It is important for a person to stop sex addiction.
Some addicts are not acting on their impulses. Viewing pornography becomes the venue for release. Sensual addiction may also translate to pornography addiction if the person has no other way to release. Daydreaming about intercourse is also one venue for release. A intercourse addict needs a porn fix every now and then.
Indicators
Being preoccupied with thoughts of intercourse can be a sign of intercourse addiction. Some intercourse addicts cannot go for days without intercourse. In fact, if a intercourse addict is forced to abstain for a certain period, he goes on withdrawal. Fascination with intercourse stories and sensual innuendo in conversation may be signs of intercourse addiction.
Intercourse addicts don’t focus much on the relationship created by the intercourse. Because of this, they are seldom picky when it comes to intercourse partners. They force their partners to have intercourse when they want. In case their partner don’t want to indulge them, they tend to look for sources of sensual pleasure elsewhere.
Desire Over Reason
Intercourse addicts often find an excuse to indulge their cravings. In case their behavior gets found out and they are subjected to therapy or get berated, they tend to make excuses.
